Oh , yes it is . On my cassette and ' old ' rig this somehow sounded better then w/ the sources here through the new rig .
This is from David S Nathanson's review from DB9

" .... Every opportunity for Jerry to jam is capitalized literally to its absolute fullest potential .... Garcia is the point . His playing was truly impeccable ..... The interaction taking place was beyond words . That Fire is the reason people tour . "

There`s one thing i wonder....and that`s if anyone else on here agree`s with that rendition being one of the"BEST"ever! My first thought would be,No...they never seem to let me down when it come`s to hating the `90s....I really don`t see how you couldn`t think nothing but the best of 10/14/94....it`s unforgettable!

These sources are missing that something that my Maxell had , as I mentioned . For me , when I look at the arc of GD , the nineties mostly had flashes , not whole shows . When I hadn't seen the band in months , first thing , How did JG look ? Then I waited for his first vocals . I hoped for 2 for 2 . During '67 -> '74 ,I would expect that ( and many years after that , as well ) . They were a transportation business , I expected them to do their jobs , or die up there from trying .
This Fire my be , for me , the last foray to the edge . It has imperfections , but it has a ton of heart .

I don`t really care if most folks are con-`80s/`90s GD music. It`s the reasons in which they use as an excuse to not appreciate it,that gets me...eg.Jerry`s voice was shot.or MIDI-tech lessened the guitar`s overall sound or that drugs made Jer unable to perform the magic we came to hear. All those excuses are simply that,an Excuse!...Jerry`s voice had the soul and heart,in which w/o,certain tunes wouldn`t have touched our senses like they did.MIDI gave the music a feeling of flight,as if it soared off His strings and the drugs....are just drugs.Any heroin addict knows that after the initial"fun"from doing it is over, you don`t feel good from doing it,no"high"...you just feel normal.I`m sure Jerry felt normal, not saying that it isn`t bad for you,and more than likely took him from us...It`s not a reason to bannish the years in which He used, for there are many more then the`90s in that case.....my freak flag is officially flying...I like all years of GD music, the same.To have favorites would be selfish.
